Group Therapy

We understand the power of connection and support that comes from being in community.

That's why we offer a variety of support and therapy group offerings to cater to different needs and interests. We strive to create a nurturing environment where individuals can come together to heal, grow, and support one another.

Please note: all groups are virtual at this time unless otherwise stated.

  • This support group is a safe haven for caregivers of loved ones with chronic illness.

Within this group, members navigate the unique challenges of caregiving, sharing their stories and emotions in a compassionate and empathetic environment. The group explores the impact of caregiving on their lives and discusses strategies to maintain their well-being while providing compassionate care. The goal is to help members reclaim their sense of self-worth and equip themselves with effective coping mechanisms for daily resilience.

Participants can expect to gain valuable insights, including a deeper understanding of their feelings of envy, grief, and guilt, and strategies for managing caregiving responsibilities and setting healthy boundaries. They will learn techniques for fostering healthy relationships, rebuilding trust within themselves, and managing caregiver stress and burnout. Additionally, members will gain insights into addressing post-traumatic shame, experience solidarity and connection, and develop enhanced trust, compassion, and empathy towards themselves and fellow caregivers.

  • Are you navigating a chronic illness with GLP-1 medications while working to protect your eating disorder recovery? It’s cliché but true: you are not alone.

As these medications become more and more commonly prescribed, many people in recovery struggle with feeling like they need to keep their experience private out of concern for triggering others or seeming contradictory in their choices. As body autonomy affirming therapists, we want to create a confidential, judgment-free space where you can share vulnerably and openly, and get the support you deserve from others navigating similar experiences and feelings.

This group is for individuals prescribed GLP-1 medications for medical conditions like diabetes, PCOS, and other health needs (without any mention of or focus on the term ob**ity). Grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES) and a body liberation approach, this group is a shame and judgment free space where your recovery and overall health picture is prioritized and validated. There’s no talk of weight, numbers, or metrics here to best avoid triggering language. Instead, we will explore effective coping strategies to navigate ED triggers that can come with GLP-1 medications, like appetite suppression, food aversions, digestive issues, and body image concerns. We’ll also offer practical tools to help you stay grounded in body liberation, make peace with food, and care for yourself while managing these side effects.

It can be so complicated to navigate medical treatment while protecting your recovery, and this space is here to support you through it.

Who: Adults prescribed GLP-1 medications for chronic conditions who have a history of disordered eating and are committed to recovery. Enrollment is limited to 6 members.

When: Mondays from 5:15PM — 6:30 PM for 8 consecutive sessions starting 3/31/25 (not meeting 4/21 or 5/26 due to holidays, making the final session 6/2/25)

Investment: The cost is $100 per session, with a resource-based sliding scale available. As a closed group, we require a full 8-week financial commitment to maintain continuity, cohesion, and accountability. This can be paid upfront, in installments, or on a weekly basis and will be discussed upon enrollment with Lauren Linn, LCSW & Danielle Konsky, LMHC.
